Helping Cape Town Storm Survivors

We are a group of Cape Town girls looking to help those who have been severely affected by the recent Cape storm, and are left without homes, shelter or any warmth for Winter.

We understand that many NPOs,companies and organizations are currently collecting and distributing resources,  but our concerns lie with those on a microscale. We want to donate to those who do not have access to these resources or the larger organizations, and are on the street and have nothing.

We will be collecting throughout the following weeks of June, and any monetary donations will be used to purchase blankets, raincoats, basic toiletries, warm clothes and plastic sheets, for people to use to cover their belongings in the rain.

We will be delivering these items ourselves to those on the streets and are happy to collect any items in and around Cape Town.

ZAR 35.00  is all it costs for us to get a blanket made, so please, if you can, consider this option and donate whatever you can.

Our Passion

We want to make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate. We are privileged enough to have a roof over our heads, food in our bellies and clothes to warm our backs. Not all have these basic needs, and may Cape Town residents are homeless, with little protection from the harsh winds and cold temperatures that come with Cape Town winters.

We came together wanting to make a change, and bring a little light to the lives of those who have so little.

Funding will be used for

The Funds from our project will go directly towards those in need of hrlp.

We will be making blankets, which cost ZAR 35.00 to make, for those less privileged, with plastic lining on one side to keep them dry.

The remainder of the money will go towards creating survival packs for each individual, and buying them basic clothes for winter. These packages will include food, some warm clothes, a towel and basic toiletries, such as deodorant, soap and toothpaste.

More about our Project

As much as we would love to do this without asking for help, we cannot afford to take on such a big task alone. Your contribution towards this campaign literally means the difference in the way someone lives their life, and whether or not they will survive this winter.

We can also help you out on

If you would not like to donate monetary funds, we are happy to collect clothes, blankets, food or toiletries from Cape Town and surrounding parts.

Anything to make a change.
