Women's Indoor Cricket World Cup

Indoor Cricket is a fast paced format of Cricket played within the confines of a net by eight players on either side. Every player is facing four overs in pairs and must bowl two overs, which makes every player involved for most of the duration of the match. In South Africa the sport is very often referred to as “Action Cricket”, due to the business Arenas where the sport is largely played.

The National Ladies Team will be competing in the Indoor Cricket World Cup 2017 which will be held in Dubai from the 15 to 23 September 2017, against the likes of Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Wales. Every match during the event is streamed live on the internet with a high possibility of television coverage in various countries. Details of such broadcast/s have not been finalized by the Governing Body and will be communicated as soon as it is made available.

The Indoor Cricket World Cup for Ladies is held every three years since 2000 and the South African Ladies Team has reached the Final 5 times, with one 3 rd Place finish. As Amateur participants, all Players are in need of financial assistance to cover the substantial individual costs to attend this prestigious event. The estimated amount required for the Player is R 40,000.00, which includes flights, accommodation, meals, transport and kit.

In return for other further substantial contributions (excluding the raffle above) we could possibly offer the following:

 Company name and logo displayed on Personal Playing Equipment

(Details regarding sizing and placement of lettering and logo to be discussed)

 Availability of the Player for promotional purposes

We thank you in anticipation for your generosity and look forward to hearing from you to discuss any details at your convenience.

Our Passion

There is no greater sporting honour than to be able to play a game you love for your country at the very highest level.
We don't play cricket for the monetary gain at the end of the day(there is none). We play because we're passionate, because of the pride that comes with playing for your country.

Funding will be used for

To cover the costs for the squad of 12 ladies and 3 management staff with regards to Flights, Accomodation, Meals, Transport and Kit. Each person is required to cover the entire cost of the tournament which estimates at R40000 per person.
