Renewable energy from the wind,  we need some help to get to market as we believe to do great things requires a great idea and the support of good people. Taking on one of South Africa's biggest challenges! The Urban Turbine is a a vertical wind turbine project that is designed to offer an Alternative power source to homes and businesses alike, schools, hospitals and business parks. 100% Locally manufactured and supported. We are in final prototype phase and need to get raw material and a factory setup (once operational we will employ full time staff - job creation of 10-50 people)

The goal of this project is to buy raw materials and have the final prototype built, after which we will be able to go out for seed funding  (VC) to go into full production.

We are real people, what we are doing is not revolutionary but could be. through the media (Social) we are making every effort to engage with people and companies to spread the word of what we are doingThere is a clear commercial value to the marketing of an alternative power generation device, this is almost a “no brainer” however there is more to Future Power Solutions thank that, we actually want to make a change in the way people live, for the better

We have built into our business model the objective of giving control of power production to the people, rural and urban communities alike. Most people use between 3300 and 5000 KwH per year and the Urban Turbine is rate to generate 4000 – 6000 KwH per year.

that is the idea, the unit will be used to power the property / shop / business from the Turbine and the batteries would be there for back up when there is no power from the grid. This solution is a Grid Tie in solution. thanks you for the question, I am excited that the target I have set is such that I think I will achieve it. Where we are now is that we have the final technical scheamtics / CAD drawings of the finished unit, this is after 2 years of prototype building and testing, we are going to use these drawings to oursource some of the aspects of the unit. I have a plan to have this final version built and blowing int he wind by Novemeber, we will then make use of a video and have this posted and try to get it go viral with the help of some clever marketing. I will keep you updated as I have anew website going live shortly
